Originally constructed in 1912, The Douglas building began with hotel rooms on the upper floor and commercial businesses located on the lower level. Throughout the years, the commercial spaces have been home to a variety of businesses, including cafes, laundry mats, bars, retail shops, and even an auto repair shop with a roll up door allowing cars to drive in.
As the years passed, the hotel rooms were turned apartments in the 60's and became home to long term tenants.
In 2016, we embarked on a passion project to restore The Douglas to its original function as a hotel. Our efforts have resulted in 14 beautifully furnished units, some maintaining those apartment amenities making them perfect for extended stays. We take pride in our commercial spaces that are home to some of the most beloved businesses on 3rd Street, such as Pike Road Wines, Thai Country Restaurant, Mac Daddy Donuts, and the Hifi Wine Bar.
The Douglas has undergone an incredible transformation over the years. Today, it stands as a testament to the rich history and culture of McMinnville. Our team has worked tirelessly to preserve the original charm of the building while incorporating modern amenities to provide the best possible experience for our guests.
